Bold Prints for Spring

Dress provided by PinkBlush - all opinions are my own!

Ladies!!!! Spring is here and summer isn’t far behind, so you know what that means? MAXI DRESS season! I can’t wait. I live in maxi dresses this time of year. They are perfect for work,  date night, or brunch with your girls.

FreelyNat Bold Print

To kick off this season in style, I’ve partnered with PinkBlush to bring you this look!

This dress is bold and beautiful. I would have never thought to mix these two colors together but honey, it works! The dress is more of a pale blue than mint as it’s called on their website. It’s stretchy but a little sheer. It doesn’t cling so that’s always a plus! The dress has an open neckline giving you the option to play with it. You can wear it off the shoulders, pulled up (if you don’t want so much shoulder exposed), or rock it one sided like I’ve chosen to do.

Since the print is so bold, I stayed away from overly doing it with accessories. I wanted the focus to be on my dress.  I’m wearing a XL but could have easily worn a large due to the material of the dress. I’m a 14/16 on a good day and carry the majority of my weight in my belly (which can be hidden nicely).

If this print is too bold for you, try out some of their other pieces here.

They also have a great maternity section, thank me later!

Baby Blue Hues

IMG_4591.jpg

I would live in black if I could but I know sometimes I have to spice it up and add a little color to my life! I came across this cute little number online and decided to go for it. It’s totally my style – when I decide to put on clothes and it’s perfect for spring. This color blue will compliment most skin tones and the ruffle sleeves add a stylish flare!

If you don’t know, I love to wear my legs out. They are my best accessory outside of my smile! I’m not a big booty Judy, but sis can serve some legs!

For reference, I’m 5’6 and 210lbs and this dress hits me mid-thigh. So if you aren’t comfortable with that I’d skip on this one. It has minimal stretch so pay attention to the sizing when ordering.

This dress will be on repeat for the remainder of spring and summer! I paired this dress with a pair of sandals but I would wear a pair of sneakers with it to give it a different feel.

The best part is this look is under $50!!! We are saving coins, sis!!

Girls Wear Camo, Too!

DSC_5572.jpg

Who says girls can’t wear camo? Not me! I found these pants a while back and fell in LOVE. They are super stretchy and add just a little flare to wardrobe, plus they are on trend!

My idea for this look was simple. I love a good blazer and when I found it I knew it needed to be in my closet. The peplum style gives great coverage for the belly area. I can dress it up or down and originally I was going to wear a pair of jeans with it and granted I still can but I wanted to do something different. This is not my norm. This year, I’m learning to step outside of my comfort zone so camo it was!

I paired the jacket with a basic black cami to give me the ability to unzip the jacket. Then I added a clear shoe and boom there you have it! ISSA LOOK!

I look and feel great rocking this. Everything feels comfortable and fits well. Now you can get my look too. Everything is linked below.

Walk On The Wild Size

Welcome to the wild side!

DSC_5529.jpg

I like spicing things up from time to time and it’s always nice to do it with my shoes! I work in an office where the people dress from business casual to professional. Most people stick to their traditional colors of black, navy, and white not me. I’m usually the wild card around there, they never know what I’m going to wear.

If I had to describe my style I would say its classic with a little edge! I LOVE black. I think it’s sexy, classy, and professional. There is nowhere that black isn’t acceptable, so I never feel out of place wearing it. Lately, I’ve been trying to add a little spice to my life by incorporating prints and bright colors.

I found these leopard print shoes and knew I had to have them. They add the perfect flare to any plain outfit and they are super affordable!

Do you enjoy playing with color and/or prints?
