Impact Health Sharing: A Modern Approach to Health Insurance

Thank you Impact Health for sponsoring this post.

How many people do you know wish they could leave their 9 to 5 and go full time with their side hustle? I personally know quite a few, myself included, but what’s holding them back? For many, it’s health insurance and the certainty of a paycheck. While many Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, it’s difficult to think about not having health insurance. In this forever-changing climate, you never know when you’ll need to seek medical attention. Impact Health Sharing is changing the way we think of healthcare through their modern approach of healthcare  sharing.

Founded by Phil and Angela Chrysler, faith-inspired entrepreneurs, business owners, and charitable activists. Their goal is to have healthcare become obtainable for those in need. Impact was made with the creatives, dream chasers and solopreneurs in mind. With affordable options - plans start as low as $65 for individuals, $330 for families and special pricing for seniors. Members will receive comprehensive medical and preventative care; including 24/7 access to telemedicine for free!

I work full time in the administrative field and I’m a content creator part time. I enjoy building community and sharing my life online through content creation. My side hustle doesn’t feel like work and it brings me so much joy. I have hopes of one day doing this full time but the thought of not having health insurance for my family makes me second guess if that’s truly a possibility. Knowing that my family will have access to care is my top priority.

Impact Health Sharing prides itself on leading the industry with transparency. The best part is you don’t have to stress about finding a new provider.  Impact Health leaves you worry-free; there is no such thing as out of network – they work with ANY PROVIDER.

Impact is a not-for-profit organization. It is a member-centric program that focuses on members and not profits. In fact, they just GAVE BACK to their members portions of their monthly shares that totaled $281,260.

While Impact is not insurance,  it’s an alternative and a new way to think of how we navigate the healthcare system using healthcare sharing. Health sharing is a voluntary, not-for-profit concept where millions of Americans connect to share in the cost of each other’s medical bills. This idea was started in the early 1980s and has since taken off. It’s a service centered around community, shared beliefs, and ethics. There are no regulations on when (no enrollment dates) or who can join. Impact delivers a modern and affordable alternative to health insurance, and it’s designed to work better and feel better than insurance.

Curious if Impact is right for you? Head over to their site to explore their plan options. Take back control over the way you do healthcare. Now you have a choice. Impact Health Sharing is giving me the confidence to know there are other options available – so when I’m ready to become a full-time solop, my family and I will be covered.

Household Cleaning Hacks | Clorox Council

For the last year I have been able to serve on the Clorox Advisory Council - it's filled with an amazing group of people that share tips and tricks of everyday life and cleaning hacks! However, it is not open to the public - invitation only. It’s been an awesome experience, and I want to share it with you!

Sadly, within the first month of our term, we were all impacted by COVID-19. Clorox took a major stand on what they would do to help fight this virus - their efforts are truly commendable. Clorox has found ways to increase production, provide helpful information, support healthcare workers and give back to communities. If you would like to read more please see here!

The Clorox Council has made me more aware of the products they offer and HOW to properly  use them. So here are a few things that I have learned.

Cleaning, Sanitizing and Disinfecting

We often hear these words used interchangeably but there is a major difference. I have worked in childcare for many years and we have always said that we would “clean or disinfect.” Here’s the difference - cleaning means to remove dust, dirt or debris by scrubbing, washing or rinsing. To sanitize means you’re only reducing the bacteria and disinfecting actually destroys or inactivates both the bacteria and viruses that are listed on a products label.

DIY Disinfectant Solution with Clorox Bleach

I have always used ⅓ cups of bleach to water and that is not right. It really depends on what product you are using. I know I can’t be the only one that’s guilty of not reading instructions. Clorox has made it very easy for you to use their online tool to find the right measurements or simply turn the bottle over and read the instructions to use correctly.

Tough Stains

I am ALWAYS running to Google when one of the kids gets a stain in their clothes or the carpet. I’m looking for DIYs - anything to help me get it out. Now, I don’t have to, I head over to the Clorox website and explore by stain for a remedy of removal! If you visit their “how to” section you will find plenty of information!

Here are my favorite tried and true Clorox products!

Clorox® Splash-Less® Bleach I grew up using Clorox bleach- nothing else truly compares! I really like that they have now made it scented, so if you didn’t enjoy the smell of it before it’s a little easier to handle now.

Clorox® Disinfecting Wipes - these are incredibly handy, especially for little jobs. If a spill occurs or dirt is left behind from emptying a backpack, I can easily wipe the surface! No extra products needed.

Clorox® Clean-Up® Cleaner + Bleach is my holy grail! I can’t get enough of it. When I’m cleaning the bathroom or kitchen, I really don’t need much else! I like to keep a microfiber cloth in my bucket and clean and go!

Friendly Reminder: Use products as directed.

I would love to know what your favorite Clorox products are!

I was ready to try something new and decided to try a mini skirt - yes a mini skirt!!! I love this trend and it has been around for a while, especially during the fall season. Mini skirts and boots are always a vibe!

Trying this look and being a plus size apple shaped woman felt very tricky but I did it! It was truly pulling out the confidence I had on the inside and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
