When was the last time you enjoyed some really tasty food?
My husband and I love to eat and try new foods. Whenever we travel our goal is to at least try 2-3 local places and/or a non-chain restaurant. It’s important to me that we do that because, how will we ever know what a city truly has to offer if we continue eating and enjoying the activities that we can do in our own hometown?
Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar invited us out to visit their Columbia, SC location to check out their new menu items:
Backyard BBQ Nachos
Salmon Teriyaki Sandwich

Backyard BBQ Nachos
We started off with the BBQ Nachos, which featured crispy pork, black beans, and roasted corn topped with house-made Amber Ale queso, pineapple salsa, applewood smoked bacon crumbles, jalapeño ranch, BBQ sauce, cilantro and green onions. I really wasn’t sure just how much I would enjoy this. I like to keep my nachos simple - but here’s to having a little fun. This was a total party in your mouth. My only wish is that it had a little less BBQ sauce and more queso. This was some of the best queso I’ve tasted! If you love smokey barbeque dishes you’ll love this.
Entree
I was daring and tried the Salmon Teriyaki Sandwich and paired it with chips.I did unload my sandwich because I am a really picky eater. The Salmon Teriyaki Sandwich features a wild-caught salmon filet grilled with teriyaki, loaded with house-made pineapple salsa, sriracha, and sweet potato fries on a brioche bun. The sweet potato fries and teriyaki sauce was a great combo. I really should have asked for more. This was delicious - I can see myself ordering this again.
Cleveland opted for the wings - we are both huge wing lovers and always feel it’s a safe choice. I like my wings either crunchy or saucy and these happen to have the sauciness I enjoyed. They were a great size and full of meat! The buffalo wings were more on the mild side than hot - so if you’re looking for the heat, this isn’t it.
Drinks
I love a good drink - especially if it’s a house favorite. I tried the Bad Ass Margarita and it was pretty good, they served it in a mason jar which I loved. Cleveland enjoyed the Strawberry Lemonade and I had to taste it. Delicious - I’m not a big lemonade drinker but this was good.
If none of the new items interest you, check out the burgers you can’t go wrong with those. They have signature ones and create your own. I always create my own because I like to make sure I put what I want on my burger.
