Friends, how many of us have them?

"A friend is someone who knows everything about your life and still loves you!"

In the iconic words of Whodini "Friends - how many of us have them? Friends - ones we can depend on?"

Well, that's a no for me, lol. I have friends but not many. Friendship is HARD especially when your loyalty isn't the same as others. Life has taught me to protect myself and I'd rather keep my circle small. 

 A few weeks ago, I got to spend time with my girl Kerri. Something we need to do more often... We have known each other for years! I'm talking diaper days. She is older than me by 3 years.  Since we were kids she has always been the same; smart, witty, and strong-willed.

This has caused us to bump heads because my mouth is smart and I believe that I'm always right. Putting two strong-willed people together can either create magic or strife. But look at us now, I'm so glad we've grown! This friendship has taught me what being a friend is all about. It's not always pretty. You will disagree, you will get checked but most importantly the love you get from a friend is irreplaceable. 

How are the friendships in your life? Are they adding value or depleting you? Check your circle and it's okay if it's not full. It is better to have a few real ones than a lot of fakes!
